Lincoln Club of Northern California programs are designed to offer a forum for the greater Bay Area’s Republican elite to come together to build a stronger GOP community. Through the Club’s major annual events, periodic regional forums and club-wide communications, members have interacted frequently with many of the brightest, most effective minds in American public affairs and take part in the cutting edge of political activity
ANNUAL DINNER
Once a year the membership gathers in San Francisco or the Peninsula for a dinner celebrating the continued strength and vitality of the Lincoln Club. Annual Dinner once again brings our members together with the highest levels of Government. Keynote speakers in the past have included former Secretary of State George Shultz, U.S. Senator John Ensign, Congresswoman Mary Bono, former Congressman John Kasich, Bush Administration Director of Intergovernmental Affairs Ruben Barrales and the Wall Street Journal's OpinionJurnal.com columnist John Fund.
SPRING SEMINAR AT PEBBLE BEACH
The Lincoln Club's annual flagship event is Spring Seminar at Pebble Beach, a weekend retreat at one of the finest resorts in the world where members are regularly joined by U.S. Senators, Governors and senior Administration officials as well as media, policy and national security experts to discuss the issues of the day.
The weekend features a number of different settings where our members and special guests interact on a one-on-one level, including small-group workshops, elegant group dinners and intimate cocktail receptions. Some members even find the time to squeeze in a round of golf at the world famous Pebble Beach or Spyglass Hill courses.
ASCENT ON THE CAPITOL: DC
Each year, the Lincoln Club organizes an annual trip to Washington DC called Ascent on the Capitol. Like Spring Seminar, it gives our members the opportunity to meet and interact with the political luminaries who shape our country every day but in the unique settings that only Washington D.C. can offer, including policy briefings at the White House, lunch on Capitol Hill and receptions on the rooftop of the Hay Adams Hotel overlooking the White House.
Leading figures who have met with the Lincoln Club in the past include Vice President Dick Cheney, First Lady Laura Bush, White House Press Secretary Tony Snow, Cabinet Secretaries Mike Johanns (Agriculture), Christie Todd Whitman (EPA), Elaine L. Chao (Labor), Ann Veneman (Agriculture), Rod Paige (Education), Senators Bill Frist (TN), John Ensign (NV), Norm Coleman (MN), Pat Roberts (KS), Richard Lugar (IN), John McCain (AZ), John Cornyn (TX), John Thune (SD), Lisa Murkoski (AK) and Jim Bunning (KY), Senior Adviser to the President Karl Rove, RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman and Reagan Administration Attorney General Ed Meese.
